Subject: RE: lung scan
The results are back from the lung perfusion study and are encouraging (see below). The left lung receives 56% of the flow, the right lung receives 44% of the flow. Given that his right lung was smaller at birth and had minimal flow for a period of time I find this promising. I spoke with Dr. Divekar who was equally pleased, I will also forward these results along to Dr. Davis.
Dr. Divekar thought we could wait up to a year for follow-up but I plan on seeing him as previously scheduled on June 13th with an echo.
Let me know if you have any questions,
1. Tc-99m macroaggregated albumin 1.6 mCi IV at 1015.
History: Patient with followup of absent right pulmonary artery status
post repair. Please evaluate perfusion only.
Procedure: Following the IV administration of Tc-99m macroaggregated
albumin, 8 corresponding planar perfusion images were obtained.
Findings: There is homogeneous uptake seen in bilateral lungs left
greater than right.
Perfusion: Left Right
upper 13% 10%
middle 25% 20%
lower 18% 14%
Total 56% 44%
Homogeneous perfusion seen in bilateral lungs, left perfusion is
somewhat greater than right.

Hi Dr. Law, I was just wondering if you had a chance to view Henry's lung profusion scan from yesterday. Is that something you call us on, or should we wait for something in the mail? If you are planning to call us, feel free to call James at 400-3790 or me if you can't reach him first.
